Gaming 2010.
I thought I'd write up a list of all the games I'm looking forward to/planning on buying.
Firstly, let's start with all the PC games.
PC
Crysis 2 - I really enjoyed the first one and also enjoyed Crysis: Warhead.
Diablo 3 - Bit of a no brainer. I'm quite sure this is on everyone's list.
Final Fantasy XIV - Another MMO I had strong feelings for, and another MMO that is being reinvented. This one may event tempt me away from WoW.
Star Wars: The Old Republic - I looooved Star Wars Galaxies, so I'm looking forward to another attempt at MMO Star Wars.
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm - Another no brainer really. I cannot wait to see all the changes to Azeroth while flying around. Also, a massive lore update, which I love.
That's it for the PC world. Now for the Xbox 360 (Will probably be the biggest list of them all)
Xbox 360
Alan Wake - A psychological thriller set in the Northwest of America. Inspired by Lost and Stephen King. I always enjoyed the Slient Hill/Resident Evil games, so this should fill that gap.
Alpha Protocol - Story driven RPG set in the world of espionage. From what I can tell, this game is basically Mass Effect but set on Earth in a hyper spy situation.
Brink - A Sci-Fi FPS/RPG game set in a dystopian future. Somewhat reminds me of Borderlands so I'm willing to give it a go.
Clash of the Titans - Normally, video games that are based on a movie turn out to be wank, however, I'd be willing to give this one a go as I am a total sucker for Greek Mythology.
Dead Rising 2 - This game mixes two of my favourite things into one neat package. Killing thousands of Zombies and Las Vagas! Woo hoo! (Plus, I really enjoyed the first one)
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West - It's a reimagination of the classic Chinese fairy tale "Journey to the West". I'll buy this one up like it's tits flavoured tits.
Fable III - While I really enjoyed Fable I and II, the reason I'd want to play this one is not because of that, but because I cannot wait to see what ridiculous ideas Peter Molyneux comes up with and fails to deliver! (But I do love his enthusiasm about video games)
I Am Alive - Survival adventure game set in Chicago after a 10.3Mw earthquake destroys the city and the rescue team fails to save the survivors. Reminds me of SOS: The Final Escape on the PS2.
Metal Gear Solid: Rising - I'm a total sucker for MGS games. So of course I'll be diving into the latest one head first.
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - Return to the Sands of Time timeline? Yus please! While I did enjoy the latest PoP game, I did enjoy the Sands of Time era more. Should be a great game.
Red Dead Redemption - Rockstar are hanging up their car jacking, gang banging jacket in favour of their horse jacking, gang banging jacket! Basically, GTA set in the dying days of the Wild West. (Pre-ordered already and planning to write a review of this one)
Rockband: Green Day - Pretty simple. I love the Rockband games. I love Green Day.
Skate 3 - Being a ex-skater and huge fan of the sport I love most of the Skating games out there, and the 'Skate' series has been on the top of that list. Mainly because playing this game is extremely good fun. Using the Analog Stick to do tricks is hugely rewarding.
Split/Second - I'm not a fan of driving games in general, but this one looks like it'll be a blast to play. Blowing up buildings on the side of the road to block the drivers behind you or dodging planes as they land. Fuuck yeah!
Phew, busy busy! PS3 time!
Playstation 3
3D Dot Game Heroes - I just love the look of this game. If you haven't already seen it, please take a moment to check it out. It's a warm hug to all those classic RPG games.
Trinity Universe - When Disgaea and Atelier are thrown togather, RPG greatness will ensue.
Shame the Xbox 360 is my default console for multi-platform games. Anyfoo, now for the Wii Wii!
Nintendo Wii
Super Mario Galaxy 2 - I really, really enjoyed the first one, much more than all the other Mario games (Excluding Super Mario 64 of course). So to revist this game will be great fun.
And that's it for the Wii. Hahaha, I feel sorry for the Wii.
Nintendo DS
Dragon Quest: Defenders of the Starry Sky - Ninth game in the series, I almost feel like I have to play this game as it'll just be a waste of time if I don't. Heh. Of course it'll be great.
Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden - Final Fantasy side adventure on the DS? Why thank you, I think I will.
Golden Sun DS - Fuuuuck yes! Golden Sun series were one of my favourite series of RPG games on the Gameboy and now I get a fresh new one! Yay!
Pokémon Black & White - Must. Get. As. Soon. As. Possible. Strange to think that I am more excited about these games than I am about any other game on this list.
So that's it for all the currently known games coming out this year that I want. Seems I've got another fun packed year of great game to keep me entertained.
