The Private Arsenal of Senior Officer Knoxx.

Tonight I spent many many hours playing on the new Borderlands DLC "The Secret Armory of General Knoxx", that was released earlier this week. Like with the other Borderlands DLC, My brother and I tackled them together. He on his level 50 Hunter, Mordecai and me on my level 50 Soldier, Roland.
Now, I don't mean to brag but my brother and I are excellent gamers and our characters both have a great selection of guns hidden away in our bottomless pockets. So when we arrived at T-Bone Junction, I expected us to knock all the Crimson Lance goons over like dominoes. However, apparently they've been eating their Ready Brek... Holy fuck on a stick! Within moments both my brother and I were respawning at the nearest New-U Station with a confused look on our faces.
Most reviews I have read about this latest DLC have been slightly negitive about the difficulty level. I personally disagree with most of those reviews. I think it adds a great tactical level to the somewhat flat game. Of course, don't get me wrong, I do really love this game. It's just at times, it can be rather easy.
A great example of the change is that throughout the game you learn that Crimson Lance guys are quite weak to Corrosive shots. Most still are, however now, within the horde of Lancies are "Lance Chemical Troopers" which are resistant to Corrosive damage. Forcing you to switch between weapons in order to kill them. If you ask me, this is great. You have to quickly think on your feet and use the best weapon for the situation.
Not only did Gearbox upgrade the Crimson Lance's chance at thwarting our plans, but they added some new foes, like these extremely creepy Drifters, which are basically a mix between the aliens from War of the Worlds and a very large, angry spider. Of course they did not forget about our little Bandit friends, they have managed to tame some Skags to carry them around the Borderlands, helping them spread their unique choas.
But it's okay, the Vault Hunters aren't easily stopped, with the help of Scooter, Mad Moxxi and the AWOL-Crimson Lance Assassin, Athena, they can loot their way through The Secret Armory of General Knoxx in an explosive way!

Overall, I'd say that this DLC is fantastic, just like the others that Gearbox have made. Not only because of the great extension to the original game, but because they have been able to carry on adding humor to this amazingly colourful world. They have set a great example for other developers on how it's done.

Oh and for anyone that have played this DLC... ENGORGE!! :D
